Unrestricted gifts will be used where needed most — to provide grants to the NC State Parks System or to other nonprofit organizations who provide services and support to the state parks. Or, you can designate your gift to go to one of our projects:

• Connect Children and Nature: Outdoor and nature experiences are important for child development and wellbeing. A class environmental education field trip to Haw River State Park is a unique and memorable experience that should be available to as many children as possible. The Connect Children and Nature project offers field trip funding for Title 1 schools to attend nature programming at the park. • Jordan Lake Eagle Cam: State park biologists propose to install a live webcam on a bald eagle nest at Jordan Lake, enabling biologists to study the birds and allowing the public to view exciting nest activity without disturbing the eagles. The webcam would be streamed live online, giving people all over the state a “bird’s-eye-view” of this natural wonder. Learn More >

• State Parks Endowment Fund: In partnership with the North Carolina Community Foundation, a gift of $25,000 or more can establish a State Park Endowment Fund to help protect and support North Carolina’s beautiful state parks for generations to come. The principal would be preserved and invested by professional fund managers at the Community Foundation, and the annual income would be designated for the NC State Park Partners Foundation to support and improve the parks.
